Manila, Philippines June 5, 2020 — In our continued pursuit of innovation, Tier One Entertainment has partnered with the world’s leading lifestyle brand for gamers – Razer.

Together on June 26 to July 12, 2020, we will be bringing 10 countries throughout the region together for an all online tournament that breaks down the barriers presented by the new realities we now face.

Enter the Razer SEA-Invitational 2020.

The participating countries are: Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, and Vietnam. They will all be competing in 3 major events, namely Dota 2, Mobile Legends: Bang Bang, and PUBG Mobile.

To prepare the region’s athletes and federations for esports’ inclusion in the 31st SEA Games in Vietnam next year, Razer will provide players with a prime environment to compete via a standardized format and structure similar to the 2019 SEA Games.

“The SEA Games 2019 were a new adventure for all of us in the region, with Razer and the federations working in tandem to bring the dreams of many budding esports athletes to life,” said David Tse, Global Esports Director at Razer. “We strive to extend this dream for many more talented individuals within the region through the SEA-Invitational and are confident that the athletes can utilize the event as perfect preparation to hone their talents and acclimatize to a structure and format similar to SEA Games.”

On our side, Tier One will be in charge of the talent promotion, production of content, and the broadcast of the tournament. We’ve always known that the pool of professional esports athletes in Southeast Asia have the potential to win big in international events. Now, we want to use this platform to help develop our regional talents to be competent on a global scale as well.

However, more than vying for victory and glory, this tournament also represents the collective desire to double down on the success of our regional athletes that was first elevated by the inclusion of esports events at the 2019 Southeast Asian Games.

Tier One believes in the potential of the athletes and talents across Southeast Asia to be of a global caliber. It is our hope that, through this partnership with Razer, this platform can keep the region’s countries unified and competitive as we continue to challenge and redefine the industry. Stay tuned as we announce the teams and talents that will headline the SEA-Invitational soon. For more information, please visit http://rzr.to/sea-invitational.
